PDP Hemorrhage Continues, Running Mate Candidate, Ogie Loses Ward Chairman To APC

The Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) in Edo State is suffering from an acute loss of members from their highly divided membership.
PDP’s intra implosion has led the party to suffer from political ‘petechiae’ and ‘ecchymosis’.
The defection which has been predicted to reach crescendo in the months ahead, claimed the ward 7 chairman of the party in Ikpoba-Okha llLocal Government Area of the state, Mr. Bright Ehigiamusoe, who defected along with Senator Matthew Urhoghide last Saturday, in Benin City, to the APC).
The PDP governorship candidate, Barr. Osarodion Ogie, plays his politics in Ward 7, Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area.
Ehigiamusoe told leaders and members of his new party, APC that, he dumped the PDP to enable him work for the victory of Senator Monday Okpebholo, the APC governorship candidate in the forthcoming election.
“I issued Ogie his PDP membership card in Ikpoba-Okha. Today, I am supporting Monday Okpebholo for governor.
“The APC candidate and his deputy are youths. We will work to deliver them in Ikpoba-Okha,” the PDP Ward 7 chairman said, amidst cheers.
The PDP also lost ward 7 during the last National Assembly elections and from the latest development and the impending exodus of PDP leaders and members to the APC.
Hon. Best Imade, the leader of PDP in Ikpoba-Okha Local Government Area led the LGA PDP chairman and eight ward chairmen, including Ehigiamusoe of ward 7.
