PDP Appoints Emma Ogidi South South Chairman, Delta Caretaker Chairman

The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) has voted for Emma Ogidi as the new South South Chairman. He is also expected to act as the caretaker chairman of Delta State PDP.

The decision was taken a while ago during the just concluded National Working Committee (NWC) meeting.
Midwest Herald source present at the meeting obliged us with the information.
Also, the NWC has dumped Senator Anyanwu and approved the appointment of Koshoedo as Acting National Secretary.
The decision was taken today, Tuesday, April 29th, 2025 after adopting the recommendation of the PDP Governors that the Deputy National Secretary of the Party, that the Deputy National Secretary of the party, Arch Setonji Koshoedo should act as the National Secretary of the party until further notice.
The position of the NWC was disclosed to journalists by the Acting National Chairman of the Party, Amb. Umar Iliya Damagun at the end of the NWC meeting this evening.
Damagun in a terse press brief stated that the NWC adopted the recommendation of the PDP Governors on the issue of the Party’s National Secretary adding that it would be forwarded to the National Executive Committee (NEC).
He also stated that the NEC meeting has been scheduled to hold in Tuesday, May 27, 2025 in line with the recommendation of the Governors’ Forum.
