As the All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship candidate, Senator Monday Okpebholo campaign train made stops at Igueben and Esan West Local Government Areas, he charged the people while preaching his message of a better Edo State to reject the People’s Democratic Party candidate, Asue Ighodalo.

Okpebholo gave reasons why they must not vote for Asue. According to him, the incumbent Governor Godwin Obaseki, brought his economic adviser who has failed in role as chief adviser.

He reminded Esan people that Asue’s tenure as chairman Nigerian Breweries witnessed loses.

He warned that if Asue is elected as governor, Edo State will suffer from bad leadership and his tenure will lead to hardship.

“A 64 years old spider man wants to be governor, if they (Asue and PDP) come to you for vote, tell them that Edo is not for sale,” Okpebholo stressed.

The ward-to-ward visit which started at the three senatorial districts on August 13, 2024 has attracted unprecedented believers across Edo State.

The APC standard bearer has promised to transform the Esan land, just as the Director-General of the campaign, Senator Mathew Uroghide, described Okpebholo as a politician that is committed to the development of the people.

Okpebholo’s running mate, Hon. Dennis Idahosa has also stressed that, his principal will reconstruct health centers, empower Edo youth and secure farmlands, as well as the reconstruction of Uromi-Agbor road in collaboration with the federal government.
