Keyamo Speaks on Why He Suspended Nigeria Air, Airport Concession

Minister of Aviation and Aerospace Development, Olorogun Festus Keyamo SAN, has explained why he suspended the Nigeria Air project and airport concessions in the country.

The minister disclosed that the decision was taken following complaints from members of the public and other agencies of government.

Keyamo spoke when he inspected the ongoing construction of the second runway at the Nnamdi Azikiwe International Airport (NAIA), Abuja.

“It would be irresponsible of me as a minister to come in and agencies of government are raising red flags here and there and I would keep quiet.

“I am not talking about people, Nigerians complaining now, agencies of government are raising red flags about both projects and I as a government functionary cannot waive all those red flags away.” The minister said.

He added that, the decision is for Federal Government to look at all the reports, and not a decision he can take alone.
