Among the notable appointments are Senator Adams Oshiomhole as Deputy Director-General, Mobilisation; Edo State Governor Monday Okpebholo as Edo State Coordinator; and Senator Neda Imasuen as a member of the Directorate of Special Duties Committee.

Former Minister of Aviation, Festus Keyamo, SAN, and Hon. Patrick Obahiagbon were also appointed members of the Directorate of Media and Strategic Communications.

The appointments bring several prominent Edo political figures into the APC’s presidential campaign structure, with responsibilities spanning mobilisation, special duties, media engagement and strategic communications.

The council is expected to coordinate the party’s nationwide campaign activities, grassroots mobilisation, communications strategy and engagement with stakeholders ahead of the 2027 presidential election.

President Bola Ahmed Tinubu chairs the campaign council, with Vice President Kashim Shettima serving as First Vice Chairman and APC National Chairman, Professor Nentawe Yilwatda, as Second Vice Chairman. Former Zamfara State Governor, Senator Abdulaziz Yari, is the Director-General, while Imo State Governor Hope Uzodimma serves as Secretary.

The inclusion of Oshiomhole, Okpebholo, Imasuen, Keyamo and Obahiagbon highlights the participation of Edo State political leaders in the campaign’s organisational framework.

As preparations for the 2027 elections gather momentum, the council will be responsible for coordinating campaign operations and communicating the party’s agenda to Nigerians across the country.

The APC faces the task of presenting its record in government, explaining its policies and addressing public concerns over the economy, security, employment and access to essential services as it seeks another presidential mandate for Tinubu.
