President Bola Tinubu has directed the Ondo State House of Assembly, to transfer power to the Deputy Governor of the state, Mr Lucky Aiyedatiwa.
The president, Midwest Herald gathered, gave the directive today, December 12, 2023 at a meeting he presided over to resolve the leadership crisis, due to the ailment of Governor Akeredolu.
Tinubu told those president at the meeting that the decision was in line with the doctrine of necessity. He urged that the exercise should be conducted without any conditions.
The transfer of power is expected to be carried out electronically.
