Gov Uzodimma Charges Governor-Elect Okpebholo To Give Edo State a New Look To Attract Prosperity

Governor-Elect Senator Monday Okpebholo, yesterday October 2, 2024, paid a courtesy and thank you visit to the Chairman of the Progressives Governors’ Forum, Senator Hope Uzodimma in Owerri, Imo State capital.

He was accompanied by the his deputy governor-elect Honourable Dennis Idahosa, Edo State Chairman of All Progressives Congress, Emperor Khalifa Jarret Tenebe and Senator Adams Oshiomhole.

Governor Uzodimma used the occasion of the visit to assure Senator Okpebholo of the full support of the APC in his role as the chief executive of Edo State.

The governor-elect informed his host that the Governor’s blessing was needed to complement that of the Oba of Benin who had directed that he must express gratitude to the Progressives Governor’s Chairman.

Senator Okpebholo also invited the Imo governor to his inauguration on November 12, 2024, to play the role of a father in the APC family.

Welcoming Senator Okpebholo and his entourage, Governor Uzodimma thanked them for finding it fit and necessary to visit him. He expressed joy that APC won the election in Edo State and noted that, “the entire population and members of APC of Edo State and Nigeria in general are all happy for the victory.”

He advised the governor-elect to “remember to give Edo State a new look, to bring prosperity and development and be able to justify the confidence reposed in him by the leaders of APC and the entire Edo indigenes.”

He also prayed for the Governor-elect and his team, particularly that what they will use to achieve and develop Edo State, they will not lack.

The Governor promised to support Edo State through Senator Okpebholo as long as he remains as a member of the APC. “Go home with confidence that one with God is majority and with the kind of support and blessings you have gotten from the President, Asiwaju Bola Ahmed Tinubu, and the people you don’t have any reason to be afraid because Edo people voted for you.”
