The National Chairman of the All Progressives Congress, His Excellency Abdullahi Ganduje, has praised Hon. Dennis Idahosa, the winner of the party’s Edo State governorship primary election.

The party’s primary election committee, yesterday declared Idahosa as the winner of the party’s governorship primary election.

He received 40,483 votes to emerge victorious and be elected as the candidate of the APC in the September 21 governorship election.

Announcing the results, Imo State Governor, Hope Uzodimma, who is also the chairman of the APC primary election committee, declared Idahosa the winner, saying that he polled the highest number of votes among the nine aspirants.

Less than five hours after the election, the National Chairman of the ruling party, Abdullahi Umar Ganduje congratulated Idahosa.

Ganduju commended Governor Hope Uzodinma’s Election Committee, for its transparency in the conduct of the election is highly commendable.

The national chairman spoke via a statement issued last night by his Chief Press Secretary, Edwin Olofu, urged Idahosa to carry all aspirants along so as to deliver the party at the fourth governorship election in the State.

“I want to congratulate the winner of the Edo State governorship election, I want to equally commend and appreciate Governor Hope Uzodinma’s election committee for their hard work and the transparent manner in which the primary election was conducted.

“At this point, I want to call on all the aspirants to bury the hatchet and work for the interest of the party so that our party will emerge victorious”, he said.
