In a resounding address at a Political Conference tagged, “Edo2024: A must win for APC” powered by the Pius Alile Coalition Initiative in Benin City on Friday, the State Chairman of the All Progressives Congress (APC) Col Dr David Imuse, rtd emphasized the critical importance of the 2024 Edo State governorship elections for the party and the people of the state.
Addressing the enthusiastic crowd of APC leaders such as Senator Adams Oshiomhole who was represented by the Edo South leader of the party, Dr Pius Odubu, the National Women leader of the party Dr Mary Alile and members of the State Working Committee and faithful clad in face caps bearing “Pius Alile Coalition Initiative”, Imuse appreciated Hon Alile for the organization of the event, recognizing its timeliness.
“Edo people are yearning for a breath of fresh air,” he declared, asserting that the 2024 Edo elections represent an opportunity for the APC to reaffirm its commitment to restoring good governance and the well-being of the people of Edo State.
Imuse who is an aspirant for the party ticket underscored the importance of the elections as a litmus test for the APC’s efforts to regain the governorship in Edo State, emphasized that the success of the party is vital as Nigeria is APC, and Edo should be no different.
He then pointed out that Edo State’s strategic location and resources could position it as a key player in Nigeria’s economic landscape, expressing dissatisfaction with the poor leadership of the last seven years under the PDP-led Obaseki junta.
The State Chairman highlighted the significance of the election in showcasing the party’s dedication to participatory democracy and its vision for inclusive governance and emphasized that the APC’s policies and programs aim to improve the lives of all Edo State citizens.
According to Imuse, “The success of the APC in the 2024 Edo State governorship elections would serve as a testament to the party’s unwavering dedication to the betterment of Edo State and its people”.
