Breaking: Etsako West Chairman and Vice Chairman Impeached for Fraud, Derelition of Duty

It was the turn of Etsako West Local Government Council legislators to finally vote for the impeachment of the Mr. Marvelous Momoh and the Vice Chairman.
Their impeachment is sequel to petitions on dereliction of duty and financial fraud leveled against them by the councilors. According to the councilors, the Chairmam and his Vice failed to defend the allegations, despite their invitation.
Their impeachment was carried out in the council’s legislative chambers by the majority members of the house.
In a related development, the Acting Chairmen of the 18 Local Government of Edo State, have paid courtesy visit to the Governor of the state, Senator Monday Okpebholo, today January 7, 2025.
The Governor charged them to focus on the welfare of the people in their constituents because, according to them, politics can only be meaningful if the people are able to benefit from their stewardship.
