Senator Neda Imasuen Accepts APC NWC Decision on Edo South 2027 Ticket, Reaffirms Commitment to Constituents

Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District, has accepted the decision of the National Working Committee (NWC) of the All Progressives Congress (APC) following the conclusion of the party’s process that produced its candidate for the Edo South Senatorial District ahead of the 2027 general election.

In a statement, Imasuen said he accepted the party’s decision “notwithstanding the circumstances surrounding the primary process,” stressing that the unity, stability, and progress of the APC should take precedence over individual ambitions.

“As a committed democrat and loyal member of the All Progressives Congress, I have accepted the decision of our party,” he said, adding that preserving the party’s cohesion remained paramount.

The senator expressed appreciation to his supporters, party members, leaders, stakeholders, and well-wishers for their backing throughout the process, describing their loyalty, prayers, and confidence in his leadership as humbling.

He also urged his supporters to remain calm, peaceful, and united, calling on them to demonstrate discipline and responsibility in the aftermath of the party’s decision.

According to him, members should “close ranks, strengthen our bond as one political family, and work together to ensure the continued success and victory of the All Progressives Congress in the elections ahead.”

Imasuen reaffirmed his commitment to serving the people of Edo South Senatorial District, saying he would continue to work for the development of Edo State and the progress of Nigeria.

He pledged support for initiatives that promote good governance, democratic ideals, and the continued growth of the APC.

The senator expressed confidence that the party, united by a shared vision, would continue to build a stronger APC and a brighter future for the people of Edo South, Edo State, and the country.
