FG presents Letter of Credence to Ambassador Braimah

The Nigeria Ambassador-Designate to Hungary, with Concurrent Accreditation to Serbia, Croatia, Bosnia and Herzegovina, and Slovenia, Ambassador Abass Braimah, yesterday, officially recieved his letter of Credence from the Federal Government.

The Minister of State Foreign Affairs, Ambassador Sola Enikanolaiye, charged the Ambassador-Designates to uphold the nation’s foreign policy which is anchored on the Renewed Hope Agenda of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu and assured the cooperation of the Ministry in ensuring that they succeed in their missions.

According to the Minister, “this letter of Credence is the confirmation of your appointments to various countries as the representatives of Mr President. Take the Renewed Hope Agenda of Mr President to the rest of the world.

“I urge you to prosecute this agenda in a manner that will help national development in terms of poverty eradication, defence, Direct foreign investment and more importanly, our foreign policy must feed moderately to our national development aspirations.

He disclosed that Station charters will be issued to the Ambassadors with a view to ” identify the core mandates of your mission” adding that the Ministry ” will be reviewing your activities so we can be assessing every head of mission, to ensure that you are executing the mandate given to you by Mr President”.

Addressing journalists shortly after the event, Ambassador Braimah expressed his gratitude to President Tinubu and assured that he would use his wealth of experience in ensuring that the nation’s foreign policy is prioritized.

“I am here to serve our country and I will not only project the Agenda of Mr President, I will also ensure that we use this medium to attract direct foreign investment that will help boost the economy of our dear nation” he stated.

The Ambassador used the opportunity to hold close door meetings with the Minister and staff of the Ministry with a view to acquaint himself with the task ahead.

I want ro assure that as we go out there we will not only accomplish the mission ofbthe ministry but we will ensure that Mr presidrnt priorities ⁰ are assured. We will project the image ofbthe country properly.
