Edo PDP Guber Aspirant, Akhabue, Dissociate from Purported Asue's Endorsement by Esan Leaders

The Campaign Organization and the Solidarity Movement of Felix Godsent Ehiguese Akhabue, have dissociated their Movement and Campaign Organization from what they called “the phantom purported adoption shenanigan of a sole aspirant from Edo Central Senatorial District.”

In a press release signed by the director of Media and Publicity, the group dissociated their Principal Hon. Felix Godsent Ehiguese Akhabue, aka, JOEFEL from the shenanigan resolution from a group that was supposed to serve as unbiased leadership on behalf of the Peoples Democratic Party, NWC of the party who are saddled with the sole responsibility of deciding or adopting any candidate for the party as enshrined by the constitution of the party and the electoral act as duly interpreted by the Apex Court in so many cases.

They also the party faithful and their teaming supporters to ignore the purported action by obvious self serving selected few leaders in the senatorial district in which action is capable of jeopardizing the primary processes, the chances of the party to victory, and the desire and clamour for Edo governor of Esan extraction.

The group also called on the NWC and the National leadership of the party to look into the activities of those actors mainly those who are supposed to be members of the party State Executive Committee, and who are supposed to ensure free, fair, credible and transparent primary processes.

The group also declared it’s “loss of confidence” on those State Exco members from Edo Central Senatorial District, and therefore called on the National Leadership of the party to sanction them, and ensure they stay clear from the coming primary election.

They equally reiterated confidence in the national leadership of the party’s earlier decision during their meeting with all aspirants and other stakeholders from Edo State to ensure free and transparent process.

The group congratulated their principal for successfully collecting the party’s Expression of Interest form and the Nomination form in record time, which showed the level of his preparedness and commitment.

They appealed to delegates across the state to look at the aspirants jostling for the position’s antecedents and pedigree politically and otherwise, and look at their individual popularity that is good enough to secure victory for the party before making their informed judgments and decisions.

The Movement also appealed to PDP delegates to see their principal JOEFEL, who has been a household name as their own, who has remained with them, and easily accessible and without requiring the connections of Lagos businessmen and contractors.

The Group assured the party faithful and their followers that their principal remain the aspirant to beat in the race to the Denise Osadebey Avenue of the Edo state Government House.
