“Ogbeide-Ihama Has Worked for PDP, He Should Be Given The Governorship Ticket” – Edo North

Hon Omorgie Ogbeide-Ihama has urged members of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) to us the opportunity of the party’s primary to take what rightly belongs to them. “It is the right time to take what rightly belongs to you.” He told his audience in Uromi and Auchi.
He urged leaders and members of the party during his ongoing campaign to local government areas in Edo North and Edo Central Senatorial Districts. Ogbeide-Ihama who is a very productive lawmaker, represented Oredo Federal Constituency in the House of Representatives. Why appealing to would-be-delegates in the February 22, 2024, Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) primary election, he reminded them to remember the challenges they have faced, especially since 2020.
Ogbeide-Ihama reminded the PDP members of contributions to the party and how he made sacrifice in 2020, to ensure that Mr. Godwin Obaseki and his deputy, Comrade Philip Shaibu were absorbed into the party to contest and be reelected as governor and deputy governor. He pleaded with them not to sell their votes.
Ogbeide-Ihama also made the appeal at Uromi, Edo Central Senatorial District. The tour gave Ogbeide-Ihama the opportunity to address the leaders and members of the party.
He urged them to support him to pick the ticket of the party for the September 21 governorship election in the state.
“Don’t sell your votes, shun money bags who want to buy your conscience. We must reflect on the hardship and pains of the last seven years as party member and vote Ogbeide-Ihama as PDP candidate.

“I am appealing and offering myself to you because I know where we are coming from and I want to be a governor that works for the people.” Ogbeide-Ihama said.

He added that he was a tested and trusted representative of the people for eight years, saying “I have been with you and will work for you. Our mission is a collective one and together we can make it a reality. Nobody can force any one on us.”
The PDP governorship aspirant who declared that Edo State Government House is not for sale, added that “it is the right time to take what rightly belongs to you.”
“I want to plead to you not to sell your tomorrow and continue with the pains you are passing through. We cannot afford to suffer for another four or eight years, vote wisely, vote Ogbeide-Ihama and let’s build Edo together.”

He said if elected, he would fix all the internal bad roads and also use his expertise in human relations to collaborate with the Federal Government to ensure all the federal roads are fixed.
“When you understand human relationships, you will never have problems with the Federal Government. When you understand human relationships, you will not have problems with politicians that help you. When you understand human relationships, you will not have problems with traditional institutions. I don’t have human relationship issues. I will work for you, I will develop our state,” he said.
Responding, PDP Edo North Senatorial Chairman of the PDP, Sherriff Idenobemeh, said Ogbeide-Ihama has worked for the PDP and should be given the governorship ticket.
“We must reward him by giving him the ticket. Legacy has suffered enough, it is time to take over Osadebe avenue we must not sell our votes,” he said.
