Edo APC Chairman Tenebe Pledge Loyalty to Senator Oshiomhole, Calls for Party Unity

The Edo State Chairman of All Progressives Congress (APC), Emperor Jarret Tenebe has charged members of the party in the state to unite behind Governor Monday Okpebholo and the leader of the party in Edo State and Edo North, Senator Adams Oshiomhole to guarantee speedy development in the state and ensure consistent victory for the APC.

Tenebe also charged members to discourage themselves and others from spreading falsehood amongst members, but to promote unity.

He reiterated that Senator Adams Oshiomhole is the undeniable APC leader in Edo State.

Chairman Tenebe spoke when he entertained members of the APC party organs in his country home, to appreciate them and other APC leaders and members in Edo North.

Present at the event were the party’s Local Government chairmen of Etsako West, Etsako East, Etsako Central and Owan West, all the women leaders drawn from the six local government areas also graced the occasion.

Addressing his guests, Tenebe said: “I want to charge our party officers that, yes today we have victory for the party, we have other elections that are coming by 2027 and we also have local government elections that are coming also very soon.

“As a party, we have a very enormous task ahead of us to try as much as possible to reactivate the party, build the party, so that, united we can continue to win and win.

“But I can tell you, now that we have victory, I don’t see anything that will take APC out of government of Edo State again.

“We have identified those reasons why party fail and disunity is one of them. We have also identified the cause of disunity and it’s because of some party people who go from leader to leader to lie so they can disorganise the place and take advantage of the situation.

“The number one leader of this party in Edo State is Comrade Adams Oshiomhole and the number one leader of this party in Edo North is Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole and Comrade Adams Aliyu Oshiomhole is the Senator representing Edo North Senatorial District.

“This party that I am hosting today…we have four APC chairmen present, I want us to use it to endorse him (Oshiomhole) for second term for the election of 2027.

“Because anybody that is in a position where he is, it is not in my best interest to fight that person to be out of that position. Because we believe that all the people that are leading us are leading us well and we have reposed confidence in them. So there are no cracks on the wall.

Tenebe warned that: “All the people that thinks they can cause problems, I want to use this opportunity to advice them to look for other things to do, and not to cause problems for me and my father—Comrade Oshiomhole, because I adore him, I respect him and will continue to respect him.

“I want to reveal it today that, the governor of the state (Okpebholo), my resilience, my fight, my doggedness made it possible for him to become governor.

“I gave one condition that the person that will be Governor, that will take over from Godwin Obaseki must be somebody that will respect Comrade Aliyu Oshiomhole. Therefore, anybody that wants to cause problem should look elsewhere to cause problem, am begging that they should leave us alone.” Tenebe stated.
