Abuja Has No Special Role – Presidential Election Tribunal

The Presidential Election Tribunal, presently delivering its’ verdict on the petitions filed by the Peoples Democratic Party, Labour Party and others has ruled that the Federal Capital of Nigeria, Abuja has no special status and that the territory is like any other 36 states in Nigeria. The court therefore, struck out LP’s petition seeking to sack President Bola Tinubu on the strength that Tinubu failed to score 25% vote cast in Abuja.
