President Bola Ahmed Tinubu will on Friday, November 6, begin a two-state visit to Akwa Ibom and Rivers states, during which he will commission several landmark projects and participate in political rallies of the All Progressives Congress (APC).

According to a statement issued on Thursday by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, Tinubu will first arrive in Uyo, the Akwa Ibom State capital, where he will commission major infrastructure projects executed by Governor Umo Eno’s administration.

Governor Eno has declared Friday a work-free day to enable residents to give the President a rousing reception.

Among the projects scheduled for commissioning are the new International Terminal Building, International Airport Hospital and Ibom Aviation Village, all located at the Victor Attah International Airport.

Others include the Airport-Okopedi Road, connecting communities in Nsit Atai and Okobo Local Government Areas, and Ring Road 3, which links Idoro Road to Ikot Ekpene Road through Uyo and Ibiono Ibom.

The President will also commission the AKWA-GIS Office Complex, Command and Control Centre and ARISE Palm Resort.

Beyond the project commissioning ceremonies, Tinubu’s visit will feature a political rally, providing an opportunity for the APC to consolidate its political base in the state and mobilise support ahead of the 2027 general elections.

On Saturday, November 7, the President will proceed to Port Harcourt, Rivers State, to participate in another APC political rally.

The Rivers rally will be the third major political rally attended by Tinubu since he formally flagged off his re-election campaign in Kaduna last month.

The Presidency said the visits would also provide the President with opportunities to interact with political stakeholders, party members and supporters, while reinforcing the administration’s emphasis on national unity, political stability and collective commitment to national development.

The two-state visit comes amid intensifying political activities ahead of the 2027 general elections, with the APC stepping up mobilisation across the country to strengthen support for Tinubu’s re-election bid.
