Oba Ewuare II with Emir of Daura and ex President Buhari in Daura Katsina State

Former President Muhammadu Buhari on Tuesday August 29, 2023, hosted Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II, at his residence in Daura, Katsina state.
According to Bashir Ahmad, an aide to former president, Muhammadu Buhari, who made the pictures available on his Twitter page, the Oba Ewuare II paid rare visit to Buhari in his home.
In a post shared by Ahmad, he wrote: “Oba of Benin, Oba Ewuare II visited His excellency, Muhammadu Buhari today.”
During the visit, Buhari accompanied the monarch to the palace of Umar Farouq Umar, the Emir of Daura.
The former president also presented a royal horse to Omo N’Oba N’Edo Uku Akpolokpolo, Oba Ewuare II.
His Excellency Muhammadu Buhari later accompanied the Benin Monarch to the Umar Musa Yar’adua Airport in Katsina to bid him farewell.
