By Arit Mbeh
The leadership of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ward 06, Oredo Local Government Area of Edo State, has announced the indefinite suspension of three party members over alleged anti-party activities and gross misconduct.
In a statement issued by the Ward 06 Publicity Secretary, Bright Omorogieva, the affected members are Mr. Henry Okaka, identified as a ward leader; Ivie Violet Ojaga, the Welfare Officer; and Peter Osiowan, the Assistant Youth Leader.

According to the statement, the decision was reached during an emergency meeting of ward leaders and executive members held on Tuesday, May 19, 2026, where allegations against the trio were reviewed.
The ward executives accused the suspended members of engaging in anti-party activities, factionalization, persistent misconduct, and repeated violations of party rules and directives.

“The allegations of anti-party activities, factionalization, persistent misconduct, and continuous violation of party rules, regulations, and directives were thoroughly reviewed and confirmed to be true,” the statement read.
The APC Ward 06 leadership said the suspension was carried out in line with Article 21 of the party’s constitution, which provides disciplinary measures for members found culpable of acts capable of bringing the party into disrepute.
The statement further disclosed that the decision received unanimous backing from the 21 leaders and executive members present at the meeting.
Omorogieva added that original copies containing the names and signatures of party leaders and executives who attended the meeting were attached to validate the resolution.
The development is expected to heighten political tensions within the ward as the party moves to enforce discipline among its members ahead of future political activities in Edo State.
