Breaking: Asue Ighodalo Registers to Vote, Gets Voter’s Card for the ‘First’ Time
By Reporter
The candidate of the People’s Democratic Party (PDP) Mr Asue Akintunde Ighodalo took advantage of the ongoing Independent National Electoral Commission Continuous Voters Registration Exercise to register at his ward in Edo State.
This development may have confirmed the earlier position of his critics, that he has never voted in any election in Nigeria. The PDP candidate had insisted that his voting unit was in Lagos.
Ighodalo obtained his Voters’ Card yesterday, in Idirio Primary School Ewohimi (I) ward in Esan South East Local Government area of Edo State.
Asue Ighodalo has been Governor Godwin Obaseki’s chief economic adviser since 2016, in his position as Chairman of Alaghodaro Ltd.
Last October, Ighodalo obtained the membership card of the PDP and applied for waver from the party’s National leaders to clear him for the party’s governorship primary that eventually divided the party.
