APC Director Kidnapped, Killed, Party Shut National Secretariat

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has shut down its national secretariat in Abuja, popularly known as Buhari House, following the murder of its Director of Administration, AbdulRauf Adeniji.
The APC made this known in a memo titled ‘Secretariat closure for the mourning of the director of administration,’ on Thursday.
It was learnt that the deceased, who was kidnapped weeks ago, was killed last month, despite paying ransom.
The party stated that the closure of the secretariat would take effect on Monday, April 14, 2025.
It advised all the staff to use the mourning period for sober reflection and prayers for the family and the loved ones.
APC added that a condolence register had been opened at the National Secretariat in honour of the late administrator.
The memo reads, “The National Secretary has approved the closure of the National secretariat from all party/work activities with immediate effect till Monday 14th April 2025.
”This decision was made after he had received the news of the sad demise of the Director of Administration, the Late Hon. AbdulRauf Adekunle Adeniji.”
The security situation in Nigetia has heightened over the years, due to the criminal activities of herders and other violent gangs across the country. The wanton killings in Benue, Plateau, Edo and other states in South South, South West, South East and North East has defied the security architecture put in place by successive administrations.
