2023 International Cocoa and Chocolate Forum (ICCF) Kicks Off in London

The annual International Cocoa and Chocolate Forum kicked off yesterday, October 24, 2023 at Six Park Place, St James’s, London SW1. The ‘sweetie business’ continued today.
The theme of this year’s event is “The New EU Policy, its Effect on Cocoa Producing Regions, and the Way Forward for the Global Cocoa Trade and an Industry that Supports Transformation with Regard to the Resilience of Cocoa Farmers.”
The opening sessions had different industry experts as speakers, including Clay Gordon who moderated the sessions, Soji Sanyaolu, Oluseye Oludoye, Patrick Adebola, Chantal Coady OBE, Lynn Lockwood, Carrie Pemberton Ford PhD, Lorna Marah, Lisette Davis, Gbolahan Peter Macjob and Jules Achard.
Each speaker extensively discussed ways to improve cocoa farming and cocoa agro-businesses. The topics included Good Agricultural Practices; Sustainable and Traceable Practices; Addressing Global Resource Gaps; Utilization of Technology/AI and incentivizing New Generation Farmers; Role of Media in Bridging the Gap Between Producing and Consuming Regions and How to Address Social Issues Around Slavery, Human Trafficking, Child and Forced Labour.
Th annual International Cocoa an Chocolate Forum is an International Cocoa Diplomacy platform where industry leaders collaborate to share ideas, work out strategies and implement solutions for the benefits of the environment and the good of humanity.
