Breaking: Angry Edo North Youths Disrupts PDP Rally in Agenebode

Report reaching Midwest Herald has confirmed an attack on the campaign team of the People’s Democratic Party, PDP this afternoon in Agenebode, headquarters of Etsako East Local Governmnt Area of Edo State.
Midwest Herald Reporter described the scene of the local government election campaign that had some leaders of the PDP, as ‘frantic and chaotic’.
Obaseki reportedly turned back from Fugar when the news got to him.
“I am reporting from Bode (Agenebode) right now, the youths of the area just came and started scattering everything and chased everybody away.
“The governor (Godwin Obaseki) is not yet here, but he has been advised to turn back.” The reporter said.
The angry youths were said to have protested the lack of development in the area and absence of government presence in their locality.
The State Chairman of the party, Mr. Tony Aiziegbemi was among those at the scene.
When contacted, the Commissioner for Communication and Orientation, Mr. Chris Nehikhare said he had no information about the incident and added that members of the campaign team were on their way back to Benin City.
