Newly Elected Gwagwalada Council Chairman Sets to Defect to APC
Mr. Mohammed Kasim of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) who declared winner of the Gwagwalada Area Council chairmanship election has surreptitiously defected to the All Progressives Congress (APC).
Political sources disclosed the development that Kasim has indeed defected to the APC.
According to reports, the development has stirred conversations across Abuja’s political circles, with supporters and critics weighing in on what the move could mean for governance and party dominance in the area.
Political observers say the Chairman’s decision may have been decided with the Minister of Federal Capital Territory, Mr. Nyesom Wike before the election that produced him.
The People’s Democratic Party (PDP) are threatening to drag Kasim to court and demand for his disqualification.
