Edo 2024: Umakhihe Takes Campaign to APC National Secretariat, Submits Forms to Contest Guber Primary

Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe, the leading All Progressives Congress (APC) governorship aspirant for the September 21, 2024 election, today, submitted his completed nomination forms to signal his readiness to contest the party’s primary election.

The ceremony which took place at the APC National Secretariat in Abuja was witnessed by hundreds of Dr. Umakhihe’s supporters, including his wife, Mrs. Florence Umakhihe.
While receiving the forms, the Deputy National Organising Secretary, Mr. Chidi Eze Duru gave the assurance of the party to provide level playing field for all the aspirants.

Mr. Duru appreciated Dr. Umakhihe for running issue based campaign so far and encouraged him to keep the trend.
Speaking at the APC media office, Dr. Ernest Afolabi Umakhihe told journalists that he was in the race to Dennis Osadebey Avenue to provide solution for the challenges facing Edo people, which the present Peoples Democratic Party PDP has caused.
According him, his ‘Fresh Hope’ agenda which he says will guarantee shared prosperity, is pegged on six key areas of agricultural revolution; accessible and functional healthcare; rural development; youth empowerment and entrepreneurial skills development and Women Empowerment, as well as security.
Dr. Umakhihe promised to use his training in security and strategy to solve the insecurity in Edo State.
