Edo Dep Gov Comrade Shaibu Resumes New Office with Prayers and Dedication to God
Edo State Deputy Governor, Rt. Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu, today October 2, 2023, formally dedicated his new office that was assigned to him outside Edo State Government House by Governor Godwin Obaseki, to God. Shaibu used the occasion of his regular monthly prayer session with members of his staff and friends of the family.
The new Deputy Governor’s office is situated at No. 7, Osadebey Avenue, G.R.A, Benin City.
According to a press release announcing his resumption at the new office, the Deputy Governor’s family usually thank God for the previous month, while committing the new month into the hands of God.
“It is a tradition that has been on since he assumed office as the state number two citizen.” A priest said!
Reverend Father Andrew Obinyan led other fathers from different Catholic Church parishes within the Benin Archdioceses to offer prayers and dedicate the office building. The priests took time to anoint all the staff, Shaibu’s family and the offices, including the signpost outside the office.
It will be recalled that, Shaibu and his staff were moved out of Government House in the heat of disagreement over Obaseki’s succession plan.
