The Chairman of the Association of Local Governments of Nigeria (ALGON), Edo State chapter, Rt. Hon. Sunny Ekpetika Ekpeson, has issued a directive to all the 18 local government chairmen across the state to ensure that their supervisory councillors, councillors, senior special assistants, and special assistants wear the customised cap of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu during crucial meetings within their respective council secretariats.

He said the directives is borne out of the reinforcement of President Bola Ahmed Tinubu’s message given by the Edo State Governor, Senator Monday Okpehbolo, and it should begin from the grassroots level across the 18 local government areas of the state.

He emphasized that the initiative represents a visible expression of solidarity and alignment with the administration of President Tinubu, adding that the previously pledged 3.5 million votes from Edo State for the President must not remain a mere aspiration but be realised and substantiated in the 2027 general elections.

Ekpetika urged all local government leaders to treat the directive with urgency and seriousness, noting that consistent representation of national symbols within the councils will strengthen the unity of purpose and shared political vision across the state.
