Senator Neda Imasuen Receives Senator-Elect Ikpea in Abuja…Assures Strategic Alliance

The Senator representing Edo South Senatorial District, Senator Neda Imasuen, today August 21, 2025, received the All Progressives Congress (APC) Senator-elect for Edo Central Senatorial District, Hon. Joseph Ikpea, in his National Assembly office.
Ikpea emerged winner of last Saturday bye-election for the vacant seat left by Governor Monday Okpebholo.
Senator Imasuen told members of the Senate Press Corps that he was honoured to welcome Ikpea who he referred to as a “brother” and promised to join efforts with him to ensure effective representation of the state.
“It was indeed an honour to welcome my distinguished brother and colleague as we prepare to work together in the 10th Senate.
“Our discussions focused on deepening collaboration, fostering unity, and charting a collective path that will bring meaningful development to Edo State while delivering greater dividends of democracy to the people,” Imasuen said.
The Chairman Senate Committee on Ethics and Public Petition stressed that he firmly believes that with Hon. Ikpea’s wealth of experience, dedication, and passion for service, Edo Central will enjoy renewed representation.
“Together, we are committed to complementing the visionary efforts of Governor Monday Okpebholo in driving growth, prosperity, and opportunities for all Edo people.
