Senator Imasuen Wins Man of Decade Award, Advocates Citizen’s Education in Schools

Megastar Communications, publishers of Megastar Magazine, yesterday in Abuja, honoured Senator Neda Imasuen, representing Edo South Senatorial District as ‘Man of the Decade’ for Grassroots Excellence Representation.
The event which was broadcasted live on Channels television and Arise News, drew capacity crowd made up of the Chief of Defence Staff, General Christopher Musa, Senator Gbenga Daniel, captains of industry and politicians, recognized outstanding Nigerians who organizers said have remained consistent in their chore areas.
Distinguished Senator Imasuen, chairman Senate Committee on Ethics, Priviledges and Public Petition in the 10th Senate of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, was honoured with the “Megastar Man of the Decade – Excellence in Grassroots Representation” Award in recognition of his outstanding service, people-focused leadership, and commitment to ethical governance.
While speaking as a panelist, Senator Imasuen advocated citizen’s participation in governance through early civic training in elementary school, so as to inculcate nationalism in Nigerians.
Senator Imasuen also stressed the need for citizens participation and open-governance as a way to earn trust between leaders and the followers.
Imasuen has dedicated his award to the people of Edo South who gave him the mandate to represent them and to Edo State in general.
