An Interest Group – Professionals for Monday Okpebholo and Dennis Idahosa (PRODEN) has deprecated the unnecessary tension being artificially created by the Asue Ighodalo Campaign Organisation, by protesting, instead of appealing against a Judgment calling it “An exercise in futility.”

The Group in Statement issued by its Convener – Douglas Ogbankwa Esq, in Abuja on Tuesday 9th July, 2023 states that:

“The well oiled Asue Ighodalo Propaganda Michenary is at work again!

“First they denied the contents of the Judgment, after which they filed a Notice of Appeal to the same Judgment. So, if the Justice Inyang Ekwo Judgment does not nullify the the candidature of Asue Ighodalo, then what have they filed a Notice of Appeal against?

“The needless protest against the Judgment is a demonstration of the impunity they are Known for.

“From the Deputy Director General, Media of the campaign – a Pastor, saying they will beat opponents and tear down banners, to the Director General of the Campaign – Mathew Iduoriyekemwen physically with his thugs attacking one of the lawyers of the APC in Edo State – Douglas Ogbankwa Esq., at the Comrade Tony Kabaka Wedding, this last Sunday, PDP in Edo State in these elections has deployed violence as a potent force to cow the opposition.

“I have bad news for these faces of facade. The Judiciary in Nigeria is not intimidated by your antics on social media, but what is in the case file.

“Your cases are won and lost based on the facts of your case and the Law on the matter. If you did not follow due process , in your primaries , no amount of protests will preclude your impending political doom.

“Take a pill for your fever , because your will not rule forever,” the release read.
