Prominent Benin Sons and Daughters Arrive for First Benin Unity Summit

Distinguished sons and daughters of Benin Kingdom have begun arriving in Benin City ahead of the maiden edition of the Benin Unity Summit, scheduled to hold tomorrow, Friday, September 26, 2025, at Homeville Hotel, Benin, by 10:00am.
The historic gathering is set to bring together prominent Benin personalities from across Nigeria and the diaspora to deliberate on unity, culture, development, and shared values that strengthen the Benin nation.
The Summit is expected to foster collaboration, promote peace, and chart pathways for socio-economic development, while reinforcing the collective vision of unity and prosperity for the Benin people.
Organizers have assured that the event will be both impactful and memorable, serving as a rallying point for all Benin indigenes committed to building a stronger and more united community.
Speaking on the significance of the event, Earl Osaro Onaiwu, Convener of the First Benin Unity Summit, said the initiative was conceived to consolidate unity among Benins at home and abroad while building a stronger sense of identity and purpose. He emphasized that the summit would serve as a rallying point for all Benin indigenes committed to the ideals of unity, culture, prosperity, and values.
“This is not just another gathering,” Onaiwu noted. “It is a movement of unity and development, where we place Benin interest first and work collectively towards progress without division.”
