Peace Leadership Award: Primate Ayodele Honours Weah, Shaibu, Gusua

It was a gathering of who and who within and outside the Country when Primate Ayodele, leader of INRI Evangelical Spiritual Church honoured the former President of Liberia, George Weah, Comrade Philip Shaibu, the immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State and the Nigeria Football Federation President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusua for their sportsmanship core to the development in the Sports sector.

The Peace Leadership Award was presented to His Excellency, Hon. Comrade Philip Shaibu in Recognition of his Impacts as Best Deputy Governor in South South, Nigeria, for the year 2024.

The organisers added also that the award is for Shaibu, because he “…is a philanthropist, sportsman to the core and for his developmental empowerment initiatives for the youths in Nigeria.”

The immediate past Deputy Governor of Edo State was honoured by the man of God along side the former President of Liberia, George Weah and the NFF President, Alhaji Ibrahim Gusua.

Receiving the award in Lagos, Shaibu thanked the man of God for his prayers for him and Nigerians.

He promised to always do the will of God and keep supporting humanity and sports in Nigeria and globally.

“This award came to me as a surprise, I never knew the man of God was watching my activities closely, today am glad to receive this.

“I never lobbied for it because I was never close to Primate Ayodele. This goes a long to tell you to be good, even when you are holding a position.”

Recently, the management of Nigeria’s foremost tabloid, Midwest Herald announced Comrade Philip Shaibu as the politician of the year, 2024.
