Osun Guber Polls: APC Aspirants Meet Tinibu on Consensus Candidate, Adeleke Clinches Accord Party Ticket

There are unconfirmed reports that all seven governorship aspirants in the upcoming election in Osun State, have stepped down for a particular aspirant.
According to the unofficial reports, the development happened after their meeting with President Bola Tinubu, the leader of All Progressives Congress.

They are expected to back Bola Oyebamiji as the APC consensus governorship candidate to confront incumbent Ademola Adeleke who has won the ticket of Accord Party in the state.
The meeting, called by President Tinubu at the presidential villa, was however boycotted by one of the aspirants, Mr. Iyiola Omisore, who had earlier described his disqualification from the APC primary as a “joke.”
The aspirants who stepped down include former Deputy Governor Benedict Olugboyega Alabi, Dotun Babayemi, Akin Ogunbiyi, Senator Babajide Omoworare, Kunle Adegoke (SAN), Babatunde Haketer Oralusi, and Mulikat Abiola Jimoh.”
The alleged stepping down came after Tinubu held a closed-door meeting on Tuesday with leading Osun APC governorship aspirants at the Presidential Villa, Abuja.
The incumbent Governor Ademola Adeleke has clinched the ticket of Accord Party in the state after his resignation from the People’s Democratic Party (PDP).
