Oba wuare II appoints Chiefs

Chiefs Ogieva, Aguebor and Usiohen

Omo N’Oba N’Edo Ewuare II Oba of Benin Kingdom, has conferred chieftaincy titles upon three of his subjects, in recognition of their outstanding services to the kingdom.

Those appointed are Chief Ikponmwosa Omoregie Usiohen, a renowned orator. He was honoured with the title of Obasoyen of Benin Kingdom.

The other, Chief Orumwense Ogieva becomes Obarenogae of Benin Kingdom, while Chief Victor Otaniyen Aguebor is now the Ukueben of Benin.

The new chiefs were accompanied by their family members and friends in their appreciation visit to Oba Ewuare II.

The monarch advised his new chiefs to demonstrate “sense of responsibility in their new positions.”

Chief Ogieva, Chief Aguebor and Chief Usiohen all expressed gratitude to the Oba for the honour bestowed upon them and pledged their unalloyed loyalty to him.
