Lagos State LG Election: NNPP Dissolves into APC

The New Nigeria People’s Party (NNPP) has directed all its members across Lagos State to come out enmass and vote for candidates of the All Progressives Congress (APC) in the local government election which took place today, 12th July 2025.
Princess Anike Teniola Adebowale, Lagos State Chairman of NNPP gave the directive in a statement earlier today.
According to the directive, the inability of INEC to amend old records and upload NNPP authentic national working committee led by Dr Major Agbo Gilbert on INEC Server have made it impossible for the party to field candidates for lagos state local government election 2025.
“Regret to inform all members of our great party, the new Nigeria people’s party that it is indeed most unfortunate and regrettable that dispite the double victory judgements secured over the betrayal tendencies and attempts of Senator Rabiu Musa Kwankwaso and Elder Buba Galadima to hijack our party from the backdoor, the inability of INEC to
amend old records and upload our authentic national working committee led by Dr Major Agbo Gilbert on INEC Server have made it impossible for us to field candidates for lagos state local
government election 2025.
“We hereby direct all members of the new Nigeria people’s party NNPP in Lagos State to move out in mass to vote for the candidates of our sister political party, the APC.
“What is certain is that if INEC is unnecessarily delaying the execution of court judgements in our favour, we shall be compelled to secure a mandamus order of the court to compel them accordingly”the
statement read.
