A former Commissioner for Information in Edo State, Mr. Kassim Afegbua has said that the All Progressives Congress, APC will cultivate the Deputy Governor of Edo State, Comrade Philip Shaibu, as a supporter to support the candidate of the APC, Senator Monday Okpebholo, if he is impeached.
Edo House of Assembly has moved to impeach Shaibu on trumped up charges over alleged ‘acts of misconduct.’
Afegbua disclosed this position in an interview with Deji Badmus on TV360.
“Well, we are from the same Edo North senatorial district. The more crisis PDP gets, the better for APC. As a member of the APC, I would pray the PDP gets itself enmeshed in one crisis or the other. Because them say if one person own no spoil, another person own no go better.
“So if PDP decides to impeach their deputy Governor, we will cultivate him as a supporter to support the APC candidate. The overriding interest for me is to see that APC wins the election, defeats its opponents both Labour Party and PDP. And set the state on a new pedestal of development and growth.”
