Edo State Govt Swears-in Chris Okaeben as Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy

The Edo State Government has sworn in Mr. Chris Okaeben as the Commissioner for Arts, Culture and Creative Economy.
This comes after the State House of Assembly successfully screened and approved Mr. Okaeben’s nomination.
The swearing-in ceremony took place at the Government House in Benin City. Governor Monday Okpebholo charged the new commissioner to drive policies that will be in tandem with his administration’s ‘SHINE’ agenda.
Okaeben, in his remarks, expressed gratitude for the confidence reposed in him and pledged to make meaningful contributions to the administration’s programmes and reaffirmed his loyalty to the governor.
Mr. Christopher Ewere Okaeben had earlier served as Supervisory Councillor for Youths and Sport, Or Edo Local Government Council; Secretary to Oredo Local Government; Senior Special Assistant to Governor Adams Oshiomole; Chairman Petroleum Monitoring Committee and Commissioner of Youths and Sports.
He has also served as two-terms Member of Edo State House of Assembly and at a time, a Member of Federal College of Education Technical Board.
