Exclusive: Edo South Muse On Shifting Governorship To Central

As the administration of Mr. Godwin Obaseki, Edo State Governor gradually heads to tape, politicians in the state, are shuffling the cards, and sliding the puzzles across the state.
In particular, the over 56% numerical voting strength of the Seven local government areas in Edo South has remained the determinant factor on which of the three senatorial districts should produce the governor of Edo State in 2024.
Midwest Herald can exclusively report that, the ice seems to have been broken with the ‘agreement’ reached by bipartisan politicians from Edo South who we gathered are convinced with the proposals that was presented to them, to cede the coveted number one seat in Dennis Osadebey Avenue to their Esan brothers, despite having a numerical political strength of about 15%.
With the agreement, Edo Central will produce the Governor next year, while Edo South will have the deputy governor, and Edo North – speaker, which the zone already has.
