Edo Governorship Tribunal Relocates to Abuja

The 2024 Edo Governorship Election Tribunal in Benin City, has move sitting to Abuja, the Federal Capital Territory (FCT).

The development may not be unconnected with the persistence violence that has traced the tribunal sitting since inception.

The notice pasted on the Tribunal wall today, reads: “I am directed to notify all parties that the governorship election petition tribunal sitting in benin city, Edo State has been relocated to Abuja at National Judicial Institute (NJI), Airport Road, Abuja, effective from Monday, 27th, January, 2025.” The statement which was signed by the secretary of the tribunal, Mu’Azu Ibrahim Bagudu, Esq reads.
