Election Tribunal: Idahosa Defeats Igbinedion

Mr. Dennis Idahosa, member representing Ovia Federal Constituency All Progressives Congress (APC), has defeated his rival Ms. Omosede Igbinedion of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP).

Igbinedion had filled a petition against the Idahosa and the Independent National Electoral Commission (INEC). She alleged irregularities in the election.

In the unanimously Judgement, the three justices dismissed the PDP and Igbinedion’s petition, and upheld the election of Mr. Dennis Idahosa as winner of the 2023 Ovia House of Representatives Election.
