Delta CP Orders Manhunt for Man that ‘Killed’ Six Year Old Daughter

The Delta State Commissioner of Police, CP Olufemi Abaniwonda has ordered a manhunt for a man that allegedly killed his six-year-old daughter in the State.
Midwest Herald reports that the incident occurred at Uviama New Layout, Agbarho in Ughelli North Local Government Area.
The Spokesman of the Delta State Police Command, SP Bright Edafe made this known on Sunday in a statement made available to newsmen in Asaba.
Edafe said, the suspect simply identified as Mr Sankey Ovemureye, currently on the run killed the little girl by smashing her head repeatedly on the wall.
He said the painful incident which occurred June 15, 2024 on Saturday was reported to the police by the suspect’s brother.
The command’s image maker explained that the Agbarho Divisional Headquarters had deposited the corpse of the little child at the mortuary.
Edafe stated that the Commissioner has ordered a serious manhunt for the fleeing suspect.
He said, Abaniwonda, who was saddened by the barbaric act, assured members of the public that the suspect would be arrested and justice will be served.
He urged anyone with useful information that could lead to the arrest of the suspect to report to the nearest police station in their locality.
