Breaking: Senator Ned Nwoko Dumps PDP, Set To Join APC
By Reporter
Senator Ned Nwoko, representing Delta North Constituency has dumped the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) and ready to join the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Although no official reason has been given to Ned’s defection, he has been at daggers drawn with Governor Sheriff Oborevwori who he accused of neglecting Delta north.
A close source told Midwest Herald that the ongoing political puzzle in the Delta State is mainly responsible for his decision to jump ship early enough to team up with political block that will guarantee his return to the Senate in 2027.
According to the source, his decision to join the APC is influenced by speculation that former Delta State Governor Ifeanyi Okowa is eyeing a Senate seat in the next electoral cycle.
“This development and the prospect of APC forming the government in the state, is said to have prompted the senator to quickly reconsider his political alliances, to align with a party that will better support his future ambitions,” our source reported.
