By Reporter
Worried about the unprecedented defection, the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has developed a desperate plan to retain their members.
One of such plans is to sponsor protests against intending defectors in their wards.
The latest of such protest is against Hon. Kabiru Ajoto who is bid to defect from the the Peoples Democratic Part (PDP) to the opposition All Progressives Congress (APC).
Midwest Herald gathered that, as a prelude to the protest, some executives and leaders of Akoko-Edo ward 6 of APC, has written the State Chairman, through to kick against he feared defection of Hon. Kabiru Adjoto from the PDP, to APC.
The protest letter was signed by Hon. Ikubaiyeje, the Chairman Ward 6, APC and some members of the executives along with other leaders of the ward.
In the letter, the protesters claimed Adjoto benefitted from the generosity of Senator Adams Oshiomhole who they he later betrayed.
The protesters however gave themselves out when they wrote in their letter that letter that the PDP at the ward level wrote a petition against Adjoto concerning marginalization and exclusion of things that were supposed to accrue to members.
The APC protesters wrote that, this was the reason Governor Godwin Obaseki reneged in his promise appoint him as Deputy Governor to replace Comrade Philip Shaibu.
Irrespective of the protest against the membership of Comrade Shaibu and Hon. Ajoto, their defection is inevitably sure.
