Ekiti 2025 Guber Election: Tenebe Heads APC Committee for Membership Register Revalidation, Certification

The All Progressives Congress (APC) has constituted a committee to revalidate and certify the membership register in Ekiti State towards the party primary that will produce the governorship candidate scheduled to hold later this year.

The committee charged for the assignment has six members, and has Emperor Jarret Tenebe as chairman. Other members are: Hon. Olanrewaju Maruf Ajibola, Mr. .Adebayo Lateef Daodu, Chief Margaret Duru and Sani Danjuma Ph.D.

Speaking earlier today at a press conference in Ado Ekiti, the capital of Ekiti State, Tenebe introduced the committee and reiterated their commitment to ensure a fair exercise that will lead to the party’s primary.

“We are the lead Committee that is responsible for the revalidation of our great Party’s Membership Register in Ekiti State. We are a duly constituted committee of the National Headquarters of the All Progressives Congress to conduct this exercise of revalidation of the membership register of our Party in Ekiti State.

“Our assignment is furtherance to the requirement of our Party’s Constitution as stated in Article 9.3(1) which compels members of our Party to be financially up-to-date to be eligible to vote or to be voted for.

“Therefore, as our party prepares to commence the Ekiti State’s gubernatorial primary election, this revalidation of the membership register is a significant part of the process to ensure that all financial members of the Party are appropriately captured and aggregated in the membership register so as to be able to vote and be voted for.”

Tenebe therefore called on APC members to ensure payment of their membership due. “This, therefore, is to call on all members of our Party that had paid their membership dues of 200 naira per month for the past 12 months to go to their respective wards to confirm their financial standings,” the Edo APC chairman stated.
