Aigboboh Drives Grassroots Expansion as Edo Inaugurates Renewed Hope Ambassadors

The All Progressives Congress (APC) I Edo State has taken a major action to boost grassroots political mobilization with the inauguration of Renewed Hope Ambassadors—an initiative widely described as a product of strategic coordination and purposeful leadership by the State Coordinator, Mr. Sylvester Aigboboh, who doubles as the deputy State Chairman of APC.

The inauguration, held last week in Benin City, marked a major step in strengthening the political structure of the APC across the state, with stakeholders pointing to Aigboboh’s role in mobilizing support, unifying party faithful, and translating the agenda’s vision into practical grassroots action.

The event brought together party leaders, youth and women groups, community representatives, and volunteers from different parts of Edo State, reflecting the growing acceptance and reach of the Renewed Hope Agenda under Aigboboh’s coordination.

While speaking at the ceremony, Sylvester Aigboboh said the inauguration of the ambassadors was a deliberate political strategy aimed at deepening grassroots engagement and ensuring effective communication of the agenda’s objectives at the ward and community levels.

He noted that the ambassadors would serve as frontline mobilizers and advocates of people-centered governance and national development.

According to him, the ambassadors were selected based on commitment, credibility, and loyalty to the Renewed Hope vision, adding that discipline, unity, and responsible conduct would define their operations.

He emphasised that the successes of the project at the local level depended largely on their commitment, discipline, and dedication.

“As Renewed Hope Ambassadors, you are expected to work closely with the leadership of our great party to evangelise, explain, and defend the policies, programmes, and achievements of President Tinubu’s administration.

“You must promote harmony, inclusiveness, and effective coordination across all levels of the party within your respective Senatorial District and LGAs.

“Your task also includes mobilising, engaging, and sensitising the people, working hand in hand with our party leaders who are themselves Ambassadors of Hope to ensure that the message of Renewed Hope resonates in every community.”

Observers described the inauguration as a reflection of Aigboboh’s leadership style, which emphasizes structure, inclusion, and clear political direction. His coordination of the process—from planning to execution—was credited with the smooth conduct of the event and the clarity of purpose communicated to participants.

The ceremony also featured an orientation session coordinated by the state leadership, where the roles and expectations of the ambassadors were outlined, further reinforcing the agenda’s focus on organized and sustainable political engagement.

Political stakeholders at the event praised Aigboboh for strengthening internal cohesion and expanding grassroots networks since assuming office, noting that his leadership has continued to position the Renewed Hope Agenda as a formidable and people-driven political movement in Edo State.
