Breaking: Gov Obaseki Bows to Criticism, Drops Edo PDP Chairman, Aziegbemi as Special Adviser
By Reporter
Following the public criticism that trailed the appointment of Mr. Tony Aziegbemi, the chairman of Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) as Special Adviser to Mr Godwin Obaseki, the governor has been forced to replaces him with Mr. Patrick Iloube for Esan North-East/Esan Southe-East.
The latest decision is not unconnected with the political implications of Aziegbemi’s serving as Obaseki’s aide, while also keeping his party position as PDP Chairman.
Midwest Herald had earlier exclusively exposed the clandestine appointment that was accepted by Aziegbemi.
In a statement signed by Osarodion Ogie Esq, the Secretary to the Edo State Government, Obaseki appointed Iluobe a lawyer, along with other persons as Constituency Special Advisers.
